Last Day at Akiragi
Today was my last day at Akiragi.
This is one of my favourite schools. I played 'the music game' with all 3 classes. They really enjoyed it, as did I. As it was 35 Degrees Celcius in the classroom, I think they were glad that they didn't have an activity that was too strenuous.
We had our last classes and I said goodbye to all the students. I thought it might have been a 'tear show' with the students turning into blubbering messes. BUT not today. The students were composed and said goodbye as I like it - With no fuss at all. They had a ceremony for me and presented me with gifts.
My JTE got me a Japan national rugby jersey and I gave him a really nice Tri Nations rugby ball. I don't think he liked my gift all that much but I guess thats life. I thought it was a good present!!
I had to go to Hofu so my JTE gave me a ride to Shin - Yamaguchi. Again, there were no tears when we farewelled. This guy is probably my best Japanese friend. I guess thats life - Friends come and friends go!!!
